Bakhshayesh Carpet

City of Bakhshayesh used to be a village 80 km away from Tabriz, which is now a city. The carpets of this city, which is located near Heriz, are known in the world at the same time as Heriz carpets. This mountainous region has a population of about 6,000 people, almost a third of whom are engaged in carpet weaving. Bakshayesh carpets are woven with large, simple flowers and with a broken design. The dyeing of these carpets is done in a natural and chemical way, and the density of the knots rarely reaches 25 knots per 7 cm.
