Seisan Rug

Seisan was once a village in East Azerbaijan Province, near Tabriz. It was an important center for the Baha’is of Iran. Today, the village is almost uninhabited. In the past, agriculture and animal husbandry flourished in this village, Seisan rugs were produced in the area. However, after the Iranian Revolution about 40 years ago, almost no trace of them remained.
